Kitchen Appliance Factory Tour: 9 Stations

Inside the plant: automated injection moulding, hardware stamping, ultrasonic welding, assembly, quality inspection and the certifications we hold. Watch on YouTube →

Walk the plant in Shipai, Dongguan — mould shop, injection, motor winding, five assembly lines,
the QC lab and the loading bay — with the export and QC managers alongside you. If you cannot fly in, the same
kitchen appliance factory tour runs as a live video walk-through.

Nine stations you can inspect on the day

A kitchen appliance factory tour only tells you something if you see the stations where defects are created, not just the finished units. This is the route we walk, in this order, with the record available at each stop.

StationWhat you will seeRecord you can ask for
1. Raw material warehouseWhere motors, ABS granules, stainless strip and packaging are received and held per lot — the point where incoming inspection starts.IQC sample area, material certificates on file
2. Mould workshopIn-house mould storage and maintenance. Ask how many sets are held for the models you buy and how a mould change is verified.Mould register, change-over record
3. CNC machiningMachining of inserts and fixtures used on the assembly line, so a worn fixture is replaced rather than compensated for.Fixture maintenance log
4. Injection workshopMachine list and tonnage, cycle times and the shell colour check against the approved sample.Injection parameter sheet, colour sample
5. Motor windingWinding, armature assembly and the motor test bench — the station that decides whether a unit survives a year of kitchen use.Motor test data per batch
6. Electronic workshopPCB assembly and switch assemblies, with functional test before the boards go to the line.Board test record
7. Assembly linesFive lines running to a BOM per model, torque-fixed stations and the hourly pull for function testing.Line check sheet, torque settings
8. QA and QC test labHipot, power, torque, life-cycle, salt-spray, drop test and moisture checks — the equipment behind the inspection reports.Test reports per model
9. Loading and shippingPacking, carton drop test, quantity check against the packing list and container loading photos before sealing.Pre-shipment inspection report

How a container order runs after the visit

The visit is the start of a process, not a sales appointment. These are the six steps a bulk order follows from the first brief to the sealed container.

StepWhat happens
1. BriefMarket, volume, target retail price, branding and certification scope agreed in writing.
2. SamplingSamples in 5-7 working days; the sample fee is credited against the bulk order.
3. Tooling and artworkShell colour, logo position, rating label, carton artwork and manual language proofed and signed.
4. Production30-35 days after deposit and approved artwork, with in-line inspection throughout the run.
5. Final inspectionAQL sampling to MIL-STD-105E, plus third-party inspection if you appoint an agency.
6. LoadingContainer loading, photos shared, documents issued and the shipment booked on your terms.

Three ways to do the visit

Visit in person

Fly in to Shenzhen, we collect you at the showroom and drive to the plant. Allow one working day for showroom, production floor and sample room.

Where the showroom and the plant are

The buyer showroom is in Bao’an, Shenzhen, and the plant is in Shipai, Dongguan — a short drive apart, so a kitchen appliance factory tour covers both in one day. Send your arrival date and flight number and we arrange the transfer from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport.

What to bring and what we prepare

  • Bring: your target market, target retail price, expected volume and any packaging reference you already use.
  • Bring: a competitor sample or photo if you want a finish or feature matched.
  • We prepare: the models you asked to see, alternative finishes, carton samples and the certification file for your market.
  • We prepare: a written visit record with the models discussed and the next actions, signed before you leave.

Visit questions buyers ask

Can we visit without a confirmed order?

Yes. Most buyers visit before the first order. We ask for your target market and the models you want to see so the sample room is prepared, but no order is required to book a visit.

Can we do the visit by video instead of flying in?

Yes. A live video walk-through covers the same nine stations, with a camera operator and an engineer answering questions in real time. Video visits are usually booked for a 60-90 minute slot.

Who joins the visit from your side?

The export manager, the QC manager and — if you are discussing a new model — the engineer responsible for it. That way technical answers come from the person who will run the project.

Can we bring our own inspector or a third-party agency?

Yes. SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, TUV or your own QC team can audit the plant and inspect a live lot during the same visit. See the quality control page for what they are given access to.

Do you sign an NDA before the visit?

Yes, if you need one. Buyers often visit while a private label programme is at sampling stage, so we sign an NDA before the sample room walk.

Can we take photos inside the plant?

Photos of your own models and packaging are fine. We ask you not to photograph other buyers’ tooling, cartons or branding, and the same rule applies to our visitors.

How far in advance should we book?

Two weeks is comfortable. Peak seasons around trade fairs fill up faster, so book early if you want the QC manager and engineer in the same session.

Where exactly are the showroom and the plant?

The showroom is in Bao’an, Shenzhen, and the plant is in Shipai, Dongguan — a short drive apart, so both can be covered in one day. Send us your arrival date and we arrange the transfer.
